Generalized pattern. In the protasis, the verb takes prospective aspect to express hypotheticality.

(1) Lortuko balu, poztuko ginateke.

‘If she/he achieves it, we would be glad.’

Variational pattern. In some Eastern varieties, the verb occurs with imperfective aspect instead.

‘If she/he achieves it, we would be glad.’
