I am a pre-doctoral researcher in the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) thanks to a pre-doctoral grant of the Basque Government. I am working on a PhD dissertation entitled Explaining Imperatives: The View from Basque under the supervision of Beatriz Fernández (UPV/EHU) and Josep Quer (Pompeu Fabra University). My research focuses on the syntactic and semantic analysis of imperative and hortative sentences. Besides, I am working in the research team Basque & Beyond (Principal Investigator: Beatriz Fernández) and in the consolidated research team the Bilingual Mind (Principal Investigator: Itziar Laka).

I studied the degree in Basque Studies (2012-2016) and a Master Degree in Linguistics (2016-2017) in the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). In my Master Dissertation entitled "Etorri diodanean, zergatik zatozen zu: aginte perpausen azterketa formal baterantz" [When I say: come!, why you come: towards a formal analysis of imperative sentences] I analyzed the syntax of Basque imperative sentences under the supervision of Beatriz Fernández (UPV/EHU). In addition, I had been a researcher under contract (PIC 168-16) in the research project entitled Towards a theory of syntactic (micro)variation: Basque and beyond financially supported by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) [FI2014-51878-P (01-01-2015/31-12-2018)] (Principal Investigator: Beatriz Fernández).
